Every autumn we offer a small number of sheep for sale as breeding stock.  All of our sheep are purebred and registered with ISBONA and we never sell animals we wouldn’t be thrilled to keep on in our own flock.  The trouble is, we can’t keep them all! 

We source our own breeding stock from some of the most premier breeders of Icelandic Sheep here in the states.  These breeders are committed to preserving the genetic integrity of this incredible breed and regularly infuse the best AI genetics from Iceland into their bloodlines.  Additionally, these farms have similar management practices and flock goals to our own, ensuring that our own animals- and their offspring- will thrive in our grass-fed rotational grazing system and reach ideal harvest weights on a 100% grass-fed diet.

On our farm we rigorously select breeding stock for mothering/milkiness, disease and parasite resistance, overall health & growth, meatiness, and superb conformation as well as for temperament and fleece quality.  Our flock has no history of OPP, CL, Johnes or foot rot and we are enrolled in the USDA Scrapie Eradication program.
